FICA Taxes
FICA taxes in Scenario Analysis
FICA is a U.S. federal payroll tax. It stands for the Federal Insurance Contributions Act and is deducted from each paycheck.
FICA taxes are separated out on the W2 on lines 4 and 5. Since Holistiplan reads in the Federal Form 1040 and supporting forms and schedules, and not W-2s, Holistiplan will not pull any information related to FICA from any uploaded returns.
However, you can account for FICA within Scenario Analysis if you want, as explained in our article below.
