Delete Households
Deleting a household will NOT reduce your billable household count for your subscription period. For more information on how your households are billed, see our Household Billing article.
Deleting a household will delete all information associated with it, including uploaded returns, Scenarios, Tax Letters, and all reports. If you'd like to keep this information but don't plan to actively work with information in the household, consider deactivating the household to reduce your billable households at yearly renewal, while keeping the historical data.
There are 2 methods that can be used to remove households:
Client Household Screen
One option for removing households is in the household itself on the Details screen. Click the ellipses next to Details in the top left corner and select Delete Household.

All Households Screen
Another option is on the All Households page.
Click the ellipses under Actions in the row associated with the desired household and select Delete Household.

Deleting a household will remove it permanently from our system, and it will be unable to be recovered once deleted. Ensure that you are deleting the correct household prior to clicking any delete household buttons.
