Edit Household and Client Information

To access and edit details for clients, click on the clients' household name on the All Households screen or search for the household in the search bar at the top of the page and go to the Details tab.

  • To change the display name of the Household: Click on the pencil icon next to the large navy blue text. This will change what name is shown on the All Households page.

  • To add or change the state that a client resides in: Click on the pencil icon next to the State field.
  • To add, change, or delete the tax preparer: Click on the pencil icon next to the Preparer field. Select from existing preparers already entered, add a new preparer, or delete a preparer.

  • To change the advisor or team for a client: Click on the dropdown arrow.  This assigns client households to a specific advisor (or a team of advisors if your firm utilizes teams).



  • Tags can be added to households to help filter clients. A Firm Admin can create tags for the firm to use by clicking Manage Firm Tags List. More information on adding and creating tags can be found here.

  • To add clients after uploading a return: Click Add Client within the teal Clients bar. 

  • This will bring up a window to enter the new client information. Once the information has been entered, click Add Client.

    • Existing clients can be edited by selecting Actions next to the client in question. Users can
      • Designate a client as the Primary Client
      • Mark a client as inactive (in cases of deceased clients or clients who are separating)
      • Change names
      • Add or edit a date of birth
