How Much of the PII (Personally Identifiable Information) From the Return is Needed?

Some advisors redact the PII prior to upload. None of the PII is necessary for us to read in the return, and in fact, we ignore it as we process the file. We focus our analysis on the numeric portions of the return documents.

Note: advisors may optionally enter demographic data such as taxation state and date of birth. Those drive additional functionality (e.g. age milestones) but are not required.

Advisors also enter names for households and their members, but some choose to use partial names or pseudonyms.
