Scenario Analysis isn't editable. What's happening?

By default, the first scenario in a Scenario Analysis generated from a tax return upload is a replica of that uploaded return. This scenario is static and not editable. Similarly, users cannot edit scenarios generated by clicking Load Tax Return (Read Only) in the + Add a Scenario menu.

To create an editable scenario, click Copy from a Scenario or Create Blank Scenario.



When copying from a scenario, select the scenario you want to copy (in this case, Scenario 1: "2025 Return") to create a new, editable Scenario 2 that mirrors the 2025 tax return.
