Merging Subscriptions

Have separate Holistiplan subscriptions that you'd like to consolidate?

We can perform what we call a "Firm Merge," which moves all households and users from their current subscription to the desired "parent" subscription.

It should be noted that Cash Flow Diagrams are not able to be moved over via a firm merge at this time.

The first step is to contact our Support Team at support@holistiplan.com.

When reaching out, please provide the following details:

  • The firm names and firm admins for each subscription involved in the merge.

  • The name of the “parent” subscription. This is the account that will house the newly merged households and users. This is typically the acquiring firm or the firm on the higher Holistiplan plan.

  • An estimated timeline for the merge. Please note that we require at least one week’s notice to complete the process.

Once our team receives this information, a DocuSign consent form will be sent to each firm admin to review and sign, approving the merge.

After both signatures are received and we have confirmation that the merge has been completed successfully, our team will cancel the subscription that transferred its households and users into the parent account to prevent any future renewal charges.

Merging some households and users to another Holistiplan account

Holistiplan Support can also perform a “partial firm merge,” which allows us to transfer a specific subsidiary or group of households from one subscription to another.

The process follows the same steps as a standard firm merger, with a few additional requirements:

  • The firm admin from the acquired firm must first create a subsidiary that includes all households to be moved to the new subscription. Let us know the name of this subsidiary, as it is required to complete the merge.

  • Also, if only certain users, rather than all users, need to be transferred, the firm admin will need to create an Advisor Unit and add the desired advisors to that unit. We would also require the name of this Unit to proceed with the partial merge.
